overview
Xishan Primary School, one of Yishun’s ten primary schools, began in 1937 as Si San Public School, providing Chinese medium education to children in Chong Pang Village (formerly Westhill Village). It overcame wartime closure and expanded through strong community support, including land donated by Mr Lim Chong Pang.
In 1984, it became a government school with English as the medium of instruction, and in 1986, it relocated to Yishun and was renamed Xishan Primary School. It officially opened on 11 November 1988.
